Ignite 2026
I had so much fun testing different ideations and versions for how to bring Ignite to life. I knew I wanted to:
In some way, use the fire element of the Ignite logo practically.
Create subtle easter eggs for partners, employees, and attendants to stumble across in the ignite logos!
Ultimately, I came up with the idea of using the clean, smooth logos as a tool to emit a flickering “light” to the more neutral, expressive, and textured background, creating three different versions to loop over a 60s period:
“Ignite”, with the wordmark being the primary colored asset, and the neutral background hiding a textured version of the Flame Logo as a homage.
Ignite is an annual live conference hosted by Empyrean Benefit Solutions, where the company comes together to celebrate the previous year, and energize the next one.
For Ignite 2026, I was tasked to create live looping assets for Ignite’s in-person experience. The Empyrean team wanted something more inspired and modernized in comparison to their previous events — something neutral, but that included the key colors of Ignite — blue, green, and white.
Why? Well, because this Ignite was Empyrean’s 20th anniversary celebration, of course. Pressure’s on (but they say that makes diamonds)!
The Flame Logo being the primary colored asset, being used as a flame to ignite the neutral background, which has a hidden message: “IGNITE”.
The Flame Logo and “Ignite” wordmark acting as the “colored light”, with another hidden message, but this time, a nod to the special occasion “20 Years of Benefits”!
PS: I also made some countdown timers for the keynote presentations as well!!
All of these assets (apart from the existing logos) were ideated, animated, and textured by me. It was such a blast to not only create these animations, but be a contributing factor in such a big milestone and for such a great group of people.
